Introduction
Hello everyone and welcome Today we will discuss and show you how to make chicken wings in an air fryer. This is a recipe from my Anita Cooks blog. I deep-fried those wings in a cast iron pan, and they were extra crispy, so I wanted to show you how to make them in an air fryer.
Cook
I have whole chicken wings. I’m just going to separate them into the wingettes and the drumettes, cut the tip off, and separate the winget and the drum. I’ve run the wings, and I am going to use paper towels to gently blot the chicken, thus finishing it. What we are going to use are cornstarch eggs that will be seasoned, flour, which will also be seasoned, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, & onion powder. Mix these up.
This is the basket for the ninja foodie You can make this recipe in any air fryer I’ve reviewed a few different kinds the single basket like this Phillips, the dual basket like this Ninja, and this type of basket with the ninja foodie, whichever air fryer you use, make sure you put the chicken in a single layer If you pile them on top of each other, they’re not going to get evenly crispy all around. When you do uncoated wings like these and the Phillips air fryer, you can pile them on top, but when you coat them, you have to put them in a single layer.
We’ll dip each piece of chicken in the cornstarch first, then the eggs, then the seasoned flour on both sides, and just tap the excess off. with your non-eggy hand, coat it with flour Just press it on, tap off the excess, and put the coated chicken on a plate. It’s a little messy but completely worth it Just presses the flour After you coat the first batch, it’s going to sit there for a few minutes on the plate while you coat the second batch If you start to see the chicken skin through the flour, you can coat them again in the flour.
This was the first batch I did I put them on a plate, and then I just put flour again on these after I coated the second plate for the best results spray the wings with oil This is a canola oil spray take each wing and just spray both sides as evenly as you can If you have a basket like this, it’s a good idea to place it on a baking sheet. Cook them at 360 degrees for about 25 minutes You can turn them halfway through.
Choose Air Fry
The temperature is 360 and I’m going to put the thyme in 25 minutes for this ninja foodie on level one Make sure you have the tray with the rack I just put some foil on the tray The air fryer basket goes on level three Hit start foreign [Applause] [Music] [Applau] The chicken looks so good—golden brown and crispy. It looks like fried chicken. Oh, it’s hot and it’s cooked for 25 minutes, which is perfect for cooking These Wings are on the larger side; if you’re cooking smaller wings, they’ll be done in about 20 minutes They look just like fried chicken wings It’s hot, but I want to try it.
Ready
The chicken is cooked perfectly. skin’s nice and crispy and the meat is very juicy I’m really glad I cooked these in the air fryer, There’s no use for extra oil sitting in a pot after deep-frying, and you don’t have to worry about cooling and storing it This is an easier way to make fried chicken I’m not going to lie to you and say this is as crispy as the deep-fried version, but it’s very crispy, and you get a great result for an air-fried chicken.
To clean, soak the trays and basket in hot, soapy water. It’s much easier to get all the bits off if you soak first. I so love these chicken wings that I’m going to cheat every time. I won’t mind trying it in your air fryer. Please tell me how much time it took you and the kind of air fryer you used for this recipe, and if you’re satisfied, the next time I meet you, you will be happy. I conclude my proceedings by saying thank you very much for watching.
Conclusion
To sum up, with about 5 minutes of prep and assistance from the air fryer, you will cook scrumptious, tasty, and probably crisp chicken wings, which will be ready in 30 minutes. Also, ensure that you press dry the wings with a paper towel for maximum crispness and additionally bake them in a single layer for optimal air circulation. Refining your tastes is the key to success here. Try to think about the seasonings you use most frequently, and pair your wings with the sauces that you are familiar with the best.
